This video is about the genocidal and hurtful affects that the Church has had on the Anishinaabeg, and Indigenous peoples. It is about the "Doctrine of Discovery" that the Church forces onto Indigenous people. This is how our land got stolen from us. If you care to find out research the "Doctrine of Discovery" and the affects from past to present. This still has it affects now and that is why you see some of our people on the streets. The effects of residential school has put some of our people on the streets and unhealthy. I hope to cause some understanding from the Euro-Canadians in Kenora and elsewhere how this has happened. This is happening everywhere. This is why I am here at school and this is my journey to help our people. So stop calling our people dirty, lazy, drunken bums, and derelicts. This just proves Kenora and others are racists and ignorant.
